Foudn this interesting tidbit...

Try ROR I for (residual oil remover). It seems that oil in the atmosphere is what makes lenses difficult to get perfectly clean. I use an old cotton diaper that has been washed a zillion times (very soft) & I double fold the diaper over the index finger and apply one drop of this liquid to the diaper - The Mfg recommends a tissue but, I feel safer with a diaper. Gently rub the lens surface all over & dry with another part of the diaper. The front & rear elements of your lens will visually seem to disappear - yes, it will be that clean. A 1oz dropper bottle cost me around $5. at a local camera store.

Get a lens spray from an Optician for cleaning spectacles , works wonders on lenses, lcd screens,plasma screens,and ..........................spectacles :eek:
