Canon 18-55mm Lens Replacement

Canons 18-55mm lens that came with my camera seems to be a piece of junk. I want to replace it with something that would be good for portraits, landscape etc.. Open to suggestions.

Hi Lew. I agree with you. Just bought a 20D and told them I didn't want the lense. Instead, I bought a Tamron 28-75 SP Aspherical XR Di. I am very pleased with it and you can find it at various places for around $350.00.

Thanks for the info. I need to upgrade very soon so I will look at that site and compare with B&H prices. At least this is a start.
