2 by ratings

I can answer this one.

Do not be confused, it is actually quite simple.

In the photo contests, only the number of votes count.

In fact, you can not give a rating to any image in the photo contest categories, you can only vote.

If you are wondering why some images have a rating in the contest area, it is because that image was in another category and moved by the owner/user into the contest area, which moves the image, the comments, and the ratings. These ratings are not taken in to account when determining the winner, only the number of votes.

The contest areas do not allow anyone to "Rate (scale of 1-10) an image. You can vote for an image (only one), and you can comment on an image, but can not rate an image. The software will not allow that.

I hope that answers your questions. If I am wrong, I am sure Kevin will let me know, but we went over this for weeks to make sure it worked properly, and to determine the best way to do it.
