I can't understand why anyone who makes money using Photoshop isn't using version 7 yet? Each upgrade brings new features which only make the program better. Is there ever a reason to have 2 versions on the same machine? I can't imagine being stuck using a previous version and locked out of the newer features.
Version 8 sounds more like it should be called 7.5 unless they make some significant upgrades. 16 bit support would be nice since most of the newer, better scanners can sample more information than the current verion of Photoshop can fully utilize. Filters on layers is great for destructive processes like blurring and sharpening. Video support would put Photoshop ahead of the curve as consumer HD video camera are just about to hit the market. Adobe has always been good to cross intergrate thier software and using Premiere with Photoshop is not so different then using Photoshop with ImageReady.
