New to the forum but not photography. 35+years.
I know, I'm old but enjoying life!
Was a photographer in the Army for three years. I like action, people, and wildlife photography. 1 1/2 years away from retirement as a firefighter.
Live in Washington State and today is our 23rd straight day of rain with at least 10 more days in the forecast. 33 days is a record.
Someone send us some sunshine!

Greetings to a fellow Northwesterner.
I bring to this thread a different viewpoint.
After nearly a decade in Phoenix and after nearly two decades in San Diego, I ENJOY the wetness of northwestern Oregon (I live near Eugene).
The horrific heat and even more horrific dust storms of Phoenix got really old really fast.
San Diego was "okay" weatherwise, but people there are not nearly as friendly or as helpful as people from the Pacific Northwest. Now, I am speaking GENERALLY. There certainly are nice people in San Diego but they are of a rarer species than those "up here".
Anyway, quiz me in about a decade or so.
I may have quite a different song to sing.

I lived in Eugene for a year when I was a child and I have very fond memories of the Pacific Northwest. I'm in northern New England now and believe me, there's plenty of days (weeks? months?) where I think I would rather be back there than here. But, I'm hoping to permentantly relcoate to the midwest where I grew up sometime soon, maybe this year. I've been in Vermont for thirteen years, and while it's a beautiful place, I think I'm ready for a change.
