Today at a press conference before the opening of PMA Sony announced a load of new products. The largest news is 2 New Alpha series DSLR’s (more will come later on other products)
The 2 new Alpha’s will be aimed at the advanced amateur market and the Pro market.
The first of which should bee seen this year.
The Both models will feature new Chips, a newly developed BIONZ processor and Super Steady shot.
The first is aimed at users who need or want more than what the A100 offers. The flagship model will have features that are aimed to meet needs of the “demanding professional.” These bodies are about the size of most mid-range SLR’s like the D200 or K10D. Both offer battery grips, and what looks to be a well laid out set of controls on the back with a large 2.5-3” LCD.

With these 2 announcements along with Lenses in both the more “pro”-quality and amateur it shows that Sony is serious about the DSLR market and are finally coming up to the plate after taking over KM’s camera division.

More pictures and details to come. I wanted to get this announcement up ASAP.
