Our first contest is starting Thursday, November 13th at 12:01 AM and runs until December 13th. We will be giving away some prizes including 1 brand new version of Photoshop CS (Mac or PC) to the grand prize winner. All you need to do to enter is be a registered member of the site. For each of the following activities, you will receive 1 entry. A winner will be chosen from all entries and will be notified on December 14th.

(Thanks to Adobe for their generosity in donating our grand prize)


Receive 1 Entry for:

A. Each post in our forums (Must be legit)
B. Each Comment in our photo gallery

Receive 10 Entries for each new user you refer to the site.

Receive 20 Entries for each Premium member you refer to the site.

Receive 30 Entries for upgrading your account status to Premium membership. (All current premium members will be given 30 entries automatically).

oh Pentax *ist-D users mine is working great (knock on wood)
iv done 3 major jobs with it so far, and the clients have been impressed (now their not real photo gou-rues like some of us, but they can say i like or not)

Hey I had a play with the *istD on the weekend at a camera club meet, it handles nicely and takes good pics but I didn't like the control layout and it was a bit small for my hands plus the focusing screen was quite dark and grainy.

Afford it? It is only $24 a year. I have trouble believing that if people can afford a digital camera they can't afford $24 a year for storage on a awesome website.

All my $24 does is help keep the doors open. Hosting is expensive, especially when you are hosting for 700+ people for free. I figured I would donate my $24 to hopefully help Kevin keep the site up and running and to help take some of the burden off him. Plus, I do get a lot of room now to host my photos and a few other extra's...all worth the small fee.

I am by no means rich, but yes, I bought Photoshop years ago and I upgrade ($150 US) when I need to. I then donate my old copy to my local school. It helps the kids learn and amybe gets them interested in graphic design or photography. If I really do win the prize, I will donate the new version to the school since I will be upgrading anyway...

Thanks for all the hard work Kevin. I did not realize you did this all yourself. I know you have some help but I really thought this was some big faceless company who owned this thing. Makes me feel much better that it is a guy who just loves photography and likes to help out the community.

$24.00 isn't much for a year, I must be due again soon and I will be resubscribing to the site.

I have PS7 but I didn't buy it, it was bought by the company I work for to do graphic design. I wish I had money, having two kids doesn't allow me to have money.

Note that is also why I'm going for Sigma lenses initially :P

We have pulled the winners name out of the hat (yes, really out of a New York Yankees Baseball hat) - Congrats goes to BHalley.

We also pulled a 2nd and 3rd name out of the hat. These guys win 2nd and 3rd place.

Nice to read about somebody winning something. I missed this competition due to other engagements. Never mind I wish the winner much pleasure with his prize and look forward to the next competition.
