Well all I’m here to inform you that if your looking into getting a Metz 54 flash (the latest best of Metz hot-shoe flashes) It is fully compatible (with the right dedicated sca adapter (the shoe pare can be interchanged)) on the *ist-d digital slr.
YES we pentax users are slaves no more to an underpowered, no swivel flash (the ftz 360)
The Metz will work with contrast control, p-ttl, High-speed sync etc!!!
I called Metz yesterday and talked to the head guy their and they had just got the report from Metz international that its fully compatible and told me... and now I'm telling you.
Well for students/educators I suggest using the discount from bogen... like a $50-75 price difference from the NYC photo stores!
And for the rest if you get it soon you can get a $30 rebate from Metz... go on www.bogenphoto.com for the rebate form!
