Default NEW AgfaPhoto video camera DV-5000G

PMA 2008: The little AgfaPhoto video camera for big entertainment

The digital 5-in-1 multimedia camera AgfaPhoto DV-5000G is presented at PMA.

Las Vegas (USA) / Uhingen (Germany). January 31, 2008. plawa, German manufacturer of AgfaPhoto cameras, presents the first digital AgfaPhoto video camera DV-5000G at PMA in Las Vegas from 01/31 to 02/02/08.

With the AgfaPhoto DV-5000G it is possible to capture high-res photos and videos, view recorded movies or TV soaps on the move or play back your favorite MP3 files. And there are 20 video games to choose from. This elegant camera with a rotating and pivoting display will fit into any pocket. At home, data can be saved onto a PC and the AgfaPhoto video camera can be used as a webcam or for video conferences.

Digital camera with 5-megapixel resolution
The AgfaPhoto DV-5000G has a CMOS sensor with a 5-megapixel resolution (11 megapixel interpolated) to ensure high-res photos. The 8x digital zoom also enables the user to record photo subjects at a greater distance.

Digital video camera
As a mini camcorder, the AgfaPhoto camera displays videos with 30 fps, thereby ensuring jolt-free recordings. Moving images are recorded in D1 or VGA format with maximum 720 x 480 pixel. The integrated film stabilizer corrects any natural shaking automatically. A video lamp with flash function supports difficult lighting conditions.

Photos and videos are saved onto the 64-megabyte internal memory or on an optionally available SD/SDHC memory card. Using MPEG4 compression, even longer videos take up less memory space. On a 4-gigabyte memory card the user can store over two hours of film in D1 format or 1700 photos (with 2592 x 1944 resolution).

Games console
By rotating the high-res display, the camera transforms itself into a games console. There are 20 video games to choose from such as Tetris, Penalty Cup, Black Jack, Adventure or Airforce. The 3" LCD display with 960 x 240 pixel and the sophisticated operating concept providing intuitive menu navigation ensures maximum games enjoyment. The arrow and function buttons are laid flush with the surface and a short trigger action makes it especially conformable to use.

Webcam with movement recognition
The multimedia camera can be connected to a computer via USB 2.0 and used as a webcam with a 640 x 480 resolution. If movement recognition is enabled, data will only be transferred when a person is detected in front of the camera.

Multimedia Player
Movies or music videos saved on a PC in AVI format can be transferred to the camera and viewed while on the move. The user can play back MP3 music files via the built-in loudspeakers or stereo headphones.

The AgfaPhoto DV-5000G package contents include a carrying pouch, a USB cable, an AV cable, a rechargeable Li-Ion battery, a charger, stereo headphones and a software and driver CD.

The AgfaPhoto DV-5000G is distributed in America through VistaQuest and will be available for MSRP $ 259,95. AgfaPhoto products at the PMA in Las Vegas can be tried out at the German Pavilion with plawa on Stand M206-2 or with VistaQuest Distributors on Stand C210.
